Big Apple Circus
Andrew and his friends had a great time at the Big Apple Circus in Lincoln Center. Emma loved the dancing dogs and Andrew's favorite was a comedic conductor.

Our Terrace
We don't have a backyard, but we have a sliver of a terrace that serves its purpose. We dine al fresco, blow bubbles and draw with chalk, and ride trucks. It's actually been a wonderful thing to have. Bigger would be better but we're grateful to even have this.
Korean Day Parade
We all participated in the Korean Day Parade dressed in our Hanboks in 85 degree weather. We rode on the float for Andrew's Korean school. Andrew had a wonderful time riding the float and going down Broadway. Even though ethnic identity is not what I believe to be the most important identity in oneself, it does provide a background and a means to interesting nuances in mankind. We're proud to be Korean and celebrate everyone's ethnic diversity.
Painted Taxis
NYC taxis have been hand painted by students into Gardens in Transit. My kids loved looking for them when we walked outside or looked our window in early September. The novelty has worn off but NYC taxis will never be the same.

Autumn in New York
This is the absolute best weather in NYC especially for families. Andrew, age 5, is in school from 8:25am-3pm each weekday. Emma, age 2, is in her last year of Mommy's school. She has quite a busy class schedule to match her brother's:
Mon- French
Tues- Moms' group
Wed- Music
Thurs- Ballet
One of the best things of living in Manhattan is walking everywhere! It seems to keep things at a human scale rather than a machine's. Our lives are centered around a 10-15 block radius on the Upper Eastside with school, shops, parks all within an easy walking distance.
Of course this schedule works for us on weekdays, but on weekends we head Downtown (below 23rd St) for a change of scenery (i.e. more interesting food and people). Andrew started Korean school on Saturdays in Alphabet City and is enjoying learning about his heritage. Andrew also enjoys his piano lessons and both kids are playing as well as fighting together very well indeed.
